JTC 400

JTC 400 is a rich citrus-floral wood from the Italian house Xerjoff, released in 2018 and worn by anyone. People describe it as woody, floral and citrusy in equal measure, and most also find it gourmand, which points to the honey and vanilla beneath the brighter notes.

Mandarin, bitter orange and bergamot give the opening a full, slightly bitter citrus brightness, and orange blossom carries that into a floral heart where rose and ylang-ylang add depth, the ylang bringing a creamy, almost banana-like softness. Honey appears early and stays, lending a golden, waxy sweetness that is more warm than sugary. In the base, white tobacco adds a dry, hay-like note, cedar and vetiver a dry woody frame, and patchouli and vanilla round it into something smooth and lasting.
