Pandolfo

Pandolfo, from the Italian house V Canto and composed by Paolo Terenzi, was released in 2020 and is made to be worn by anyone. People describe it as woody and amber above all, and about half also find it musky, floral or aromatic.

The short note list has no pyramid, but it reads as a warm resinous composition. Mastic, also called lentisque, gives a dry, slightly pine-like, resinous bite, and sage brings a herbal edge that keeps the opening from feeling too sweet. Rose sits in the middle, less a bouquet than a soft rounding of the resins. Patchouli, woody notes, amber and musk form the base, earthy and warm, with the resins carrying through to the end.

Community votes on longevity, projection and season are not yet available. Its structure suggests a scent for cooler days and evenings, worn by someone who prefers dry, resinous warmth to sugar, and it is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
