Malatesta

Malatesta by V Canto, released in 2020 and worn by anyone, is a floral that most wearers also describe as woody. Many find it citrusy, and a minority notice musky, aromatic or leathery sides.

The brand lists its notes without stages. Mandarin and orange give a bright, sweet citrus opening, and pepper a dry spice. Lavender adds a cool, herbal note. The heart is built on Tuscan iris and iris, powdery, cool and slightly rooty, with violet adding a sweet powderiness and jasmine and lily a warmer, cleaner floral touch. Agarwood and leather give the base a smoky, dry depth, patchouli earth, and vanilla and musk a soft, sweet finish.

Iris and violet over oud and leather suits autumn and evenings and suits anyone who likes a powdery floral with a darker, smoky base. Community reports on longevity and sillage have not yet been collected.
