P.D.F., composed by Paolo Terenzi for the Italian house V Canto in 2022, is an odd and interesting mix of sweet, floral and salty-fresh, worn by anyone. Sweet and floral are both used by everyone who describes it; about two thirds also call it fresh, and a third find it green, woody or musky.
Salt, seaweed and seagrass give the opening a marine, mineral, slightly green character. Thyme and myrtle add a Mediterranean herbal note. Rose and Bulgarian rose form the floral heart alongside jasmine, rich and slightly honeyed. Then the gourmand side arrives: caramel, coffee and vanilla, with coumarin's hay-like almond sweetness, set against cedar's dry wood and a soft musk finish.
Wearers have not yet reported on longevity or projection. By character it suits cooler weather and evenings, and anyone curious about scents that put sea salt and caramel in the same bottle. It is sold in a large bottle.
