Illusion Gold

Illusion Gold is first of all fresh, with sweetness, flowers, amber and citrus each noticed by about half of wearers. Louis Cardin released it in 2018 as a feminine fragrance.

The notes are described in broad terms rather than specific materials, which makes the picture simple. Water notes and citruses open it cool and clean, like a sea breeze with a squeeze of lemon. The heart pairs unnamed floral notes with amber, so the flowers are warmed rather than left crisp. The base is unusual in putting fruity notes and sea notes last, which keeps the dry-down light and slightly salty rather than heavy.

Longevity and sillage have not been reported. Aquatic freshness with a fruity, ambery undertone points to summer, daytime and hot weather, and to someone who wants a light, easy scent rather than one that develops at length. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
