Viking Rio

Viking Rio by Bharara, released in 2023, is a dessert-leaning gourmand with a floral twist. Everyone who describes it uses the word gourmand; about two thirds also say floral, and a third pick out green, woody or ambery facets.

The notes arrive as one list, but the picture is clear. Cocoa and cacao pod give a dark, slightly bitter chocolate core, with hazelnut adding a toasted, nutty richness and caramel a buttery sweetness. Jasmine sambac cuts through this with a heady, almost indolic white flower, which is what stops it from being a simple chocolate scent. Oakmoss brings a damp, green bitterness, cedar a dry wood, and ambroxan a salty, radiant warmth in the base.

It is worn by anyone. Community reports on longevity and projection have not yet been collected. The sweet, rich profile points to autumn and winter, evenings and nights out, and to someone who enjoys edible scents but wants more depth than caramel alone.
