Viking Kashmir

Viking Kashmir from Bharara is a dry woody scent worn by anyone, released in 2024. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, and a minority also find it spicy and resinous.

It opens with cardamom and papyrus: cardamom cool, green and spicy, papyrus dry, grassy and faintly smoky. The heart is unusual, with frankincense, hyssop and carrot, where frankincense brings a cool, resinous, church-like smoke, hyssop a bitter herbal greenness, and carrot an earthy, slightly sweet rootiness. The base of Kashmir wood and sandalwood is soft and creamy, rounding off a composition that is otherwise dry and austere. There is no citrus, fruit or vanilla listed.

No wear reports have been collected, so longevity and sillage are unknown. A papyrus, incense and sandalwood composition of this kind suits autumn and winter and the evening, and would appeal to anyone who likes dry, smoky woods and herbal bitterness rather than sweetness.
