Lily of the Valley

Lily of the Valley from the Italian house Acqua di Parma, released in 2021, is a fresh citrus floral. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, about half also find it citrusy, and a quarter notice sweetness, wood or musk.

The notes are listed together. Bergamot and grapefruit open bright and slightly bitter, with black currant adding a green, tart fruitiness. The heart is lily of the valley, a dewy, green-white floral note, alongside magnolia, jasmine and geranium, which bring lemony and rosy facets to the bouquet. Cedar and musk form a light, dry base that keeps the scent clean rather than sweet and lets the flowers stay in front.
