Bat is a gourmand fragrance from the Canadian house Zoologist Perfumes, composed by Ellen Covey and released in 2015. Sweetness leads, with a woody side and lighter green, musky, resinous and amber touches. It is worn by anyone.
Soil tincture opens with a damp, earthy note, set against banana and fruity notes, which add a ripe, overripe sweetness. The heart brings tropical fruits, fig and green notes, which give a milky, leafy fruitiness, with resins and myrrh adding a dark, cave-like depth. In the base, leather, vetiver and sandalwood bring an earthy, smoky warmth, softened by tonka bean and musk.
Wearers report long lasting to eternal longevity, and sillage is strong or moderate. It is voted mostly for autumn and largely for evenings. It suits someone who enjoys unusual, narrative scents with earth and fruit, rather than conventional fragrances.
