Luxor from Xerjoff, composed by Chris Maurice in 2020, is a woody oud fragrance with spice, leather and incense. It is dark and resinous, evoking ancient temples and smoky wood.

The opening brings cardamom for a cool, aromatic spice, cinnamon for warmth and leather for a smooth, smoky texture. In the heart, myrrh adds a balsamic, slightly medicinal resin, Atlas cedar a dry woodiness, tobacco a leafy sweetness and incense a dry, airy smoke. The base of patchouli, Cambodian oud, Thailand oud and cypriol oil is earthy, smoky and deeply woody.

The profile points to a rich, contemplative oud for cooler weather. Worn by anyone, it would suit evenings, formal events and cold days, for someone who enjoys smoky oud and incense with a leathery, spiced character. Its dark, dense ingredient list suggests a serious, grown-up character rather than a casual one.

Luxor — unisex fragrance by Xerjoff (released 2020). Top notes: Cinnamon, Leather, Cardamom. Heart notes: Myrhh, Tobacco, Incense, Atlas Cedar. Base notes: Thailand Oud, Cambodian Oud, Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, Patchouli. — Parfica open fragrance database
