A fruity floral with a woody base, Morriselle Pour Elle was released by the Italian brand Morris in 2010 and is aimed at women. Everyone describes it as floral, most also find it woody, and a good share pick up a sweet, gourmand side from the fruit.
Rose and strawberry open together, a jammy, slightly candied pairing, with osmanthus adding an apricot-like softness. The heart stays fruity and floral: peach brings juicy sweetness, jasmine a fuller, creamier white flower, and the lighter flowers around them a cooler, dewy freshness that stops it feeling sticky. The base is drier than the opening suggests, with sandalwood and vetiver adding smooth and smoky woods, patchouli an earthy depth and ambrette a soft, skin-like musk.
The sweet fruit and gentle woods make it an easy daytime scent for spring and summer, friendly rather than formal, for someone who likes a floral with a little jam in it.
