Rosamunda by Laboratorio Olfattivo, created by Marie Duchêne in 2012, is a feminine woody rose. Wood leads, flowers are noticed by most people, and smaller groups find spice, musk and amber.
Saffron opens with a warm, golden, leathery spice. The heart is built on rose, Turkish and Bulgarian, rich and velvety, the classic pairing with saffron. The base is dark and woody: agarwood, or oud, gives a dry, smoky depth, patchouli an earthy richness, cedar a crisp structure and sandalwood a creamy smoothness. Amber and musk soften the finish into a warm, skin-close glow.
Rosamunda suits autumn and winter, evenings, dinners and special occasions. It should appeal to someone who enjoys the rose-and-oud style but prefers it balanced and wearable rather than heavy, with the woods giving the rose a confident, grown-up frame.
