Bergamot, including the Calabrian kind, opens it with a sparkling, slightly bitter freshness, sharpened by pepper and the herbal note of sage. The heart is floral and slightly powdery: Bulgarian rose gives depth and warmth, and violet adds a soft, sweet, cosmetic tone. As it dries down, incense lends a light smoky haze, sandalwood and cashmeran give a smooth, woolly woodiness, and tonka bean with amber leaves a warm, sweet glow.
