Dirty Rice by BORNTOSTANDOUT®, created by Olivier Cresp in 2022, is a soft woody scent with a milky, gourmand side. It takes the comforting smell of cooked basmati and milk and wraps it in clean woods and musk.
The opening pairs almond, which is nutty and slightly marzipan-like, with bergamot for a brief citrus lift. In the heart, basmati rice brings a warm, starchy, almost popcorn-like note, milk adds creaminess and peony gives a light floral touch. The base of musk, sandalwood, vetiver, cedar and Cetalox, an ambergris-like material, dries down to a clean, smooth woodiness with a slightly earthy edge.
This is a quiet fragrance. Most wearers report moderate longevity, and more than half call the sillage intimate, so it stays close to the skin.
