Imperial Duae

Imperial Duae by Atralia, released in 2023, is a dry, green woody leather worn by anyone. Woody is the word everyone uses; about two thirds also call it spicy and green, and a third gourmand or leathery.

Saffron and nutmeg open it with a dry, warm, slightly medicinal spice. The heart is where it becomes distinctive: hay for a sweet, dusty, sun-dried grass note, pine and pine tree for a resinous, forest-green crispness and leather for a supple, smoky grip. The base is earthy and warm: oakmoss and moss for a damp, bitter forest-floor depth, patchouli for a dark earthiness and vanilla for a soft sweetness that rounds off the drier notes without turning the scent gourmand.

It suits autumn and winter and the evening, with the kind of outdoors-meets-leather character that fits a country walk or a fireside. It suits someone who likes green, resinous woods with hay and leather and wants a shared fragrance with little sweetness.
