Orchidée Vanille, released by Van Cleef & Arpels in 2009 and composed by Randa Hammami, is a sweet gourmand with a floral side and lighter woody and citrus touches. It is a soft, almond-vanilla floral.

It opens with lychee, which gives a juicy, delicate fruitiness, and mandarin orange for a bright citrus lift. The heart brings violet, soft and powdery, Bulgarian rose, velvety and rich, and bitter almond, which gives a marzipan-like sweetness. The base is warm and comforting: vanilla absolute adds a deep, creamy sweetness, tonka bean an almond-hay warmth and cedar a dry, woody structure.

Most wearers report moderate longevity, with some finding it weak, and more than half describe the trail as intimate. It is voted for autumn and winter, more for day than night, so it suits everyday wear in colder months for someone who likes soft, close-wearing vanilla florals.
