It opens with palo santo and incense, both aromatic and smoky, sharpened by black pepper and a green, slightly metallic violet leaf. The heart is dark and dry: leather and cade oil, which smells of tar and campfire, over papyrus and labdanum, with a rose kept well in the background to add a little softness. The base is pure wood and resin, with guaiac wood and ebony giving a dense, smoky finish.
