Fantomas

Fantomas from Nasomatto, released in 2020 and composed by Alessandro Gualtieri, is a strange, sweet, synthetic-smelling wood. People describe it as gourmand and woody in equal measure, with musky and fresh facets noted by about half.

There is no formal pyramid, and the note list reads like a dare: melon and tropical fruit, caramel and sweet notes, then plastic, rubber, gunpowder and smoke, with earthy notes, cashmeran and patchouli beneath. In practice the fruit and caramel give a bright, sugary surface, while the rubber, smoke and gunpowder sit under it like a burnt, industrial shadow, and cashmeran and patchouli hold it all in a warm, musky, woody frame.

About half of wearers report long-lasting performance and a third find it lasts all day, while sillage is split between strong and moderate. Votes are spread across spring and autumn and exactly even between day and night. It is worn by anyone, and suits people who want something genuinely odd.
