Oudmazing, composed by Pierre Montale for Montale in 2016, is a fruity, sweet oud worn by anyone. Sweetness leads for everyone, most wearers also find it woody and citrusy, and a third notice green, floral or leathery facets.
Unusually, oud appears right at the top, alongside pear, fig and Sicilian bergamot and orange, so the smoky wood arrives wrapped in juicy, green-tinged fruit. The heart is Egyptian jasmine and patchouli leaf, a sunny flower against an earthy, slightly camphorous green. The base pairs leather and a grape note with Madagascar vanilla and white musk, giving a smooth, sweet, faintly winey finish.
