Arabians Rose Leather, released by Montale in 2025 and composed by Pierre Montale, is a woody fragrance according to everyone who rates it. About half also find it musky and floral, while a minority notice sweet, resinous and leathery sides.
Taif rose provides the floral heart, a rose that is rich and slightly spicy rather than fresh. Black leather gives it a dark, smoky edge, and Cambodian oud adds a deep, resinous woodiness beneath. Mysore sandalwood and Virginia cedar keep the wood base creamy and dry at the same time, ylang-ylang lends a soft floral sweetness, and vanilla and labdanum add a warm, ambered richness. Musk and black musk round it off with a soft, lingering finish.
This is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The combination of rose, leather and oud leans firmly towards autumn and winter and towards evening wear, and it should suit people who like rose in a dark, woody setting rather than a dewy one.
