The notes are few and listed together: agarwood, sandalwood, patchouli, leather, musk and black musk. Agarwood gives the dark, resinous woodiness that defines the scent; sandalwood softens it with a creamy smoothness; patchouli adds earth; leather brings a smoky, slightly animalic edge; and the two musks, one clean and one darker, round off the base and help it cling to skin. With no citrus, flowers or sweetness listed, this is a dry, straightforward interpretation of oud.
