My Day, composed by Dominique Preyssas for the Italian house La Perla in 2021, is a bright floral woody scent worn by anyone. Floral is the universal description; more than half of people also call it woody, a third citrusy, and a minority find spice, sweetness or a leathery edge.
Calabrian bergamot, tangerine and neroli open it with sparkling citrus, lifted by pink pepper and a hint of star anise. The heart is generous: jasmine, tuberose, lily and osmanthus give a lush white-floral sweetness with a faint apricot tone, while iris and carrot seed add a cool, powdery, slightly earthy counterpoint. Cedar, sandalwood, vetiver and cashmere wood provide a dry, warm base, rounded off with tonka bean.
Wear reports are not yet available. By character it is a daytime scent for spring and summer, polished enough for work and soft enough for everyday wear. It is sold in three bottle sizes.
