Lady Ruby

Lady Ruby by the French house Ggema, released in 2023 and composed by Nadège Le Garlantezec, is a simple, bright white floral positioned as a feminine fragrance. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, and about half also find it citrusy.

The composition is built from three notes. Bergamot gives a clean, sparkling citrus opening that lifts the flowers. Jasmine sits at the centre, rich, slightly green and heady, the kind of white floral that reads as classic rather than modern. Ylang-ylang adds a creamy, tropical, slightly banana-like sweetness that softens the jasmine and gives the scent its warmth as it settles.

Lady Ruby suits spring and summer and daytime wear, and it reads as a straightforward, cheerful floral for someone who knows they like jasmine and does not want it complicated by woods, musk or sugar. With so few notes it stays recognisably itself from first spray to drydown rather than developing in stages.
