Escentric 04 from Escentric Molecules, released in 2017 and composed by Geza Schoen, is a green, resinous floral. People describe it as floral first, with green, woody and citrus facets each noted by about half.
There is no formal pyramid; the notes are grapefruit, juniper, galbanum, mastic, osmanthus, rose and sandalwood. Grapefruit and juniper give a bitter, gin-like freshness, galbanum a sharp, snapped-stem greenness, and mastic a resinous, pine-like coolness. Osmanthus brings a soft apricot-and-leather floral tone, rose a faint sweetness, and sandalwood a creamy, smooth base.
Longevity is split between moderate and long lasting, and most find the sillage moderate while a quarter call it strong. It is voted for summer and spring and mostly for daytime. It is worn by anyone, and suits warm weather and someone who prefers green, bitter freshness to anything sweet.
