Escentric 03 from Escentric Molecules, released in 2010 and composed by Geza Schoen, is a spicy green wood. People describe it as woody above all, spicy and floral for most, with green, leathery and citrus facets for a third.
It opens with lime, ginger and pepper, a sharp, zesty, slightly hot start. The heart is tea with jasmine and iris, so the spice gives way to something cooler and more tannic, with a soft, powdery floral underneath. The base is a dry blend of sandalwood, Virginia cedar and vetiver with leather and musk, smooth, earthy and faintly smoky.
