Casmir is Chopard's 1992 fruity oriental for women, composed by Michel Almairac. Nearly everyone calls it sweet, most also call it floral, and more than half find it woody; musk, amber and citrus are noted by a minority.

The opening is a lush tropical fruit bowl, peach and mango with coconut lending a creamy, sun-lotion richness, and bergamot adding a brief citrus lift. The heart is floral but not dominant, jasmine and lily of the valley over a green touch of geranium, which gives the fruit somewhere to rest before the base takes over. That base is the heart of its appeal: vanilla and sandalwood make a warm, creamy sweetness, with patchouli and amber adding depth so it never becomes thin.

Wearers are evenly split between moderate and long lasting, and most report a moderate sillage. Autumn and winter share the seasonal votes and it tilts slightly towards the night. It is a cold-weather comfort scent, well suited to evenings and to anyone who likes vanilla with fruit rather than flowers on top.
