Viking Kashmir from Bharara is a dry woody scent worn by anyone, released in 2024. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, and a minority also find it spicy and resinous.
It opens with cardamom and papyrus: cardamom cool, green and spicy, papyrus dry, grassy and faintly smoky. The heart is unusual, with frankincense, hyssop and carrot, where frankincense brings a cool, resinous, church-like smoke, hyssop a bitter herbal greenness, and carrot an earthy, slightly sweet rootiness. The base of Kashmir wood and sandalwood is soft and creamy, rounding off a composition that is otherwise dry and austere. There is no citrus, fruit or vanilla listed.
No wear reports have been collected, so longevity and sillage are unknown. A papyrus, incense and sandalwood composition of this kind suits autumn and winter and the evening, and would appeal to anyone who likes dry, smoky woods and herbal bitterness rather than sweetness. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
