Grapefruit opens it with a bitter, sparkling citrus, and black pepper adds a dry heat behind it. Lavender gives an aromatic, herbal cleanness, and Turkish rose a deep, slightly jammy floral heart. Cacao pod brings a bitter, powdery cocoa note rather than chocolate sweetness. The base is where the tonka lives: warm, almond-and-hay-like, with vanilla beside it. Guaiac wood adds a smoky, tar-like depth, vetiver and patchouli an earthy dryness, amber a soft glow, and mineral notes a dry, stony edge.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported. Tonka, cocoa and smoky wood suit autumn and winter and the evening, for someone who likes sweet notes kept dry.
