Saffron gives a leathery, faintly metallic heat from the start, and nutmeg adds a warm, dry, slightly sweet spice. Rum brings a dark, sugary, spirited richness that defines the middle of the scent, and jasmine adds a thread of white flower that keeps it from being purely warm. The base is deep: labdanum gives a dark, honeyed resin, amber a soft, glowing warmth, vanilla a smooth sweetness, sandalwood a creamy wood and musk a soft, lingering finish.
