Dirham Oud by Ard Al Zaafaran, released in 2021, is a soft woody oud made to be worn by anyone. Everyone calls it woody, a little under half also find it musky or citrusy, and a minority notice sweetness, aromatics or amber.
The notes are listed together. Bergamot and citruses give a bright opening, raspberry adds a juicy, slightly tart sweetness, and lavender brings a clean, herbal touch. Rose forms a light floral heart. Agarwood provides the resinous, dark woodiness underneath, with cedar and sandalwood adding dry and creamy wood tones; woody and woodsy notes broaden the base, and white musk, musk and amber soften it into a smooth, warm finish.
Community reports on longevity, projection and season have not yet been collected. On its notes, Dirham Oud is a gentle introduction to oud, wearable in daytime and most of the year, and it is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
