The pyramid is short and clear. Tangerine and almond open together, the citrus adding a brief sparkle before the almond settles into a soft, marzipan-like sweetness. The heart is coconut and orchid, creamy and slightly tropical, with the orchid lending a smooth floral note rather than a sharp one. The base is vanilla, heliotrope and cedar: heliotrope brings a powdery, almond-and-cherry warmth that echoes the opening, vanilla deepens the sweetness, and cedar adds just enough dry wood to keep the dessert from being cloying.
