Lazuli by Al Wataniah, released in 2020, is a bright citrus and orange-blossom scent. Citrus is the accord every wearer names; about half also find it floral, and a minority describe an amber base. It is sunny and clean with a warm finish.
The opening is a full citrus basket: lemon, bergamot, bitter orange and mandarin orange together give a sharp, sweet, slightly bitter peel brightness. The heart is neroli and African orange flower, the two sides of the orange tree: neroli green and fresh, orange flower soft and lightly honeyed. The base is amber alone, a warm, smooth, resinous glow that extends the citrus and gives the dry-down more body than a plain cologne.
It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The profile suits spring and summer, daytime and warm evenings, and it works for the office as well as casual wear. Lazuli will appeal to people who love citrus colognes and want one with a floral heart and a warm, lasting base.
