The notes come as one list rather than a pyramid, but they fall into natural groups. Cardamom, ginger and cinnamon supply the spice, from cool and green to warm and sweet. Cypress adds a resinous, slightly bitter evergreen freshness, and ylang-ylang contributes a creamy floral softness in the middle. The base rests on vetiver, patchouli, incense and leather: earthy, smoky and dry, with a faint sweetness from the spices still showing through.
