Cher Wood

Cher Wood is a 2014 fragrance from the French house Molinard, woody at its core with a strong gourmand sweetness and a softer floral and ambery side. It is made to be worn by anyone.

The start is soft and fruity, with fruity notes and flowers giving a light, pleasant sweetness rather than a sharp citrus burst. As it settles, the woods move to the front: cedar dry and clean, sandalwood creamy and smooth, vetiver earthy and slightly smoky, and agarwood, or oud, adding a darker, resinous depth. Vanilla, including Madagascar vanilla, runs through the base, joined by amber and patchouli, so the drydown becomes warm, rounded and gently sweet.

The balance of fruit, vanilla and woods makes it an easy-going, comforting scent. It suits cooler months, relaxed evenings and everyday wear when a warm, approachable woody fragrance is wanted.
