It opens with mandarin orange and peony, a juicy, slightly rosy freshness that is brighter than the original. The heart is praline, red berries and apple, a nutty caramel sweetness with fruit on top, which is where the gourmand side lives. The base is where this version differs most: white woods, cedar and patchouli give a dry, clean woodiness that most wearers rank above the sweetness, so the drydown is airier than the name might lead one to expect.
