The notes are listed without stages and follow a familiar pattern. Saffron opens with a warm, leathery spice that traditionally introduces oud compositions. Rose and jasmine form the floral middle, rose slightly jammy, jasmine richer and sweeter, the classic pairing for oud. The base is where the name is earned: oud gives a dark, resinous wood, cedar and white cedar extract a drier, cleaner, pencil-like edge, sandalwood a creamy smoothness, and musk a soft, warm finish.
