Saffron and Damask rose open it with papyrus, so the start is a spiced, slightly dry rose with a papery, woody edge. The heart pairs Moroccan rose with oud, a dark, resinous, faintly medicinal wood, and adds geranium for a green, sharper rose facet and castoreum for a warm, leathery, animalic depth. The base of amber, sandalwood and patchouli is rich and smooth, softening the oud into a warm, woody glow.
