Spice and Wood, released by Creed in 2010 and composed by Olivier Creed, is spicy, woody and citrus in equal measure, with sweet, green and leathery sides. It is a crisp, fruity, spiced woody scent worn by anyone.

It opens with apple, bergamot and lemon, giving a juicy, sparkling citrus-fruit start. The heart is spicy and earthy: pepper and clove bring warmth, patchouli an earthy depth, angelica a herbal, slightly green note, and birch a smoky, leathery tone. The base is clean and refined, with cedar for a dry woodiness, musk for a soft finish and iris for a powdery coolness.

Most wearers report moderate longevity, some long lasting, and a moderate to intimate trail. It is voted for autumn and spring, for day and night almost equally, which makes it a versatile choice for work, dinners and transitional weather, for anyone who likes elegant, spiced woods.
