Petit, a 2021 release from the Spanish house Botanicae worn by anyone, is a green floral in the sharp, old-fashioned sense. Everyone who describes it calls it both green and floral, and about half add musky or citrusy.

Lime gives the opening a bright, acidic snap, and galbanum, a resin that smells like crushed green stems and bitter sap, makes the start bracing rather than sweet. Lily and jasmine form the floral heart, the lily cool and slightly spicy, the jasmine warmer and more heady, and together they soften the greenness without hiding it. Oakmoss brings a dry, forest-floor bitterness to the base, and musk rounds it with a clean, skin-like finish.

No wearers have yet reported how long it lasts or how far it carries. Galbanum and oakmoss suit spring and early summer daytime, and the fragrance fits someone who prefers crisp, bitter greenery to anything sweet or creamy.

Petit — unisex fragrance by Botanicae (released 2021). Notes: Galbanum, Jasmine, Lily, Lime, Musk, Oakmoss. — Parfica open fragrance database
