Onda by the Spanish house Botanicae (2021) is a woody fragrance by every account, with about half of wearers also calling it musky, floral, aromatic and citrusy. It is a gentle lavender and heliotrope scent over soft woods.

Bergamot gives a bright, clean opening, and lavender adds an aromatic, slightly herbal, soapy freshness beside it. The heart pairs heliotrope, with its powdery, almond-like, faintly vanillic softness, against jasmine, which adds a warmer white-flower fullness. The base is built on cedar and sandalwood, the cedar dry and pencil-like, the sandalwood creamy and smooth, and together they give the scent its soft, musky-woody drydown.

Onda is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Lavender and heliotrope over sandalwood make it an easy, comfortable scent for daytime across much of the year, and it should appeal to people who like clean, softly powdery woods rather than anything sweet, dark or loud.
