Greenwich Village from Bond No 9, released in 2019, is a sweet fruity-floral that is worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, about half add floral, and a minority mention musky, fresh, amber or citrus sides.
The opening is a bowl of fruit: tangerine, peach and lychee give a juicy, slightly tropical sweetness, and blackcurrant adds a tart, green edge. The heart is light and watery, with peony and water lily keeping things airy and jasmine adding a touch of richness. The base turns warmer and sweeter, with praline and vanilla bringing a soft, caramel-like gourmand finish, while musk, ambroxan and a trace of oakmoss give it a clean, slightly mineral grip that keeps it wearable.
Most wearers report it as long lasting, with a good share calling it moderate, and sillage is generally moderate. It is voted for spring and summer and mostly for daytime, so it works as a cheerful, sweet scent for warm days, with enough base to carry into the evening.
