Pikovaya Dama, named after the Queen of Spades, is a 2014 composition by Chris Maurice for Xerjoff. Wood and flowers share the lead, most people also note spice and citrus, and a smaller group finds it fresh and amber.
The opening is bright and polished: lemon, bergamot and neroli bring a sparkling citrus, aldehydes add a clean, fizzy lift, and rose a soft floral note. In the heart, iris gives a cool, powdery elegance, coriander and nutmeg a warm spice, cedar a dry wood and incense a light smoke. The base settles on patchouli for earthiness, sandalwood for creaminess, and vanilla and musk for a smooth, gentle warmth.
It is shared and worn by anyone. The blend of citrus, powder and spice feels refined and slightly formal, suited to office days, evening events and the cooler seasons, for people who like classic, structured compositions.
