Cloves and nutmeg give the opening a warm, slightly medicinal spice, reminiscent of mulled drinks. Ylang-ylang adds a creamy, sunny floral thread in the middle, rounding the spice. The base is deep and woody: patchouli, including Singapore patchouli, brings an earthy, dark, slightly chocolatey richness, and cedar, including Atlas cedar, a dry, aromatic woodiness. Vanilla, notably Madagascar vanilla, sweetens the dry-down, while amber and musk add a warm, soft glow.
