Mandarin orange, green mandarin and bergamot give it a bright, slightly bitter citrus lift, and pineapple adds a juicier, sweeter fruitiness. Lavender and cardamom bring an aromatic, gently spiced freshness. Underneath, cypress and cedar form a dry, green woody core, with vetiver adding an earthy, smoky dryness. Benzoin lends a soft resinous sweetness, and sesame an unusual toasted, nutty warmth that gives the drydown a little character beyond the usual woods.
The overall effect is classic and polished: fresh at the start, dry and warm later. It sits well as a daytime or office scent for someone who likes traditional masculine citrus-woods with a modern twist.
