Blackberry and redcurrant open it with a tart, jammy fruitiness that stops the sweetness from arriving all at once. Cinnamon gives a warm, bakery-like spice, and caramel, maltol and ethyl maltol together produce that distinctive candyfloss, burnt-sugar sweetness that defines the scent. Walnut adds a nutty, slightly bitter edge. The base is soft and warm, with vanilla and benzoin for a balsamic sweetness, sandalwood for creaminess and musk for a smooth finish.
It suits autumn and winter and cosy or casual wear. Anyone who likes unapologetically sweet, spiced gourmands should find it comfortable.
