Saffron leads from the start, warm, slightly leathery and faintly medicinal, paired with raspberry, which adds a tart, jammy sweetness that softens the spice. Thyme and clary sage bring a green, herbal, slightly bitter edge to the heart. The base is dry and textured: suede gives a soft, velvety leather, cedar and guaiac wood a crisp, slightly smoky woodiness, and incense a thin thread of resinous smoke.
It suits autumn and spring and moves easily from day to evening. Anyone who likes saffron-and-leather scents kept smooth and wearable rather than heavy should find it a good fit.
