It opens with pear and raspberry, a juicy, sweet fruit pairing, set against saffron and frankincense, which add a dry, leathery spice and a cool, smoky resin. The heart is damask rose and orange blossom over musk, a warm, slightly honeyed floral that softens the opening. The base is where the name comes from: agarwood brings a dark, resinous, slightly medicinal woodiness, leather adds a smooth, worn-in depth, patchouli an earthy weight and ambergris a salty, skin-like warmth.
