Aldehydes give the opening a sparkling, clean lift, around lily of the valley and carnation, the latter adding a peppery clove-like edge that carries into the heart. There, clove meets orange blossom and cotton flower, so the middle is warm, spicy and soft at once, with a laundered, slightly powdery quality. The base of woody notes, vetiver, musk and amber is dry and smooth, with vetiver giving a faint earthy smokiness.
