Across the Ocean is a smooth woody scent with sweet and citrus sides, released by Gravel in 2019 and composed by Michael Knudson. It is worn by anyone.

Lemon and bergamot open it with a bright citrus, set against cashmere wood and agarwood, which bring a soft, slightly smoky, resinous woodiness from the start. The heart pairs rose with tonka bean, a soft floral against an almondy, hay-like sweetness. The base is creamy and warm, with vanilla adding sweetness, guaiac wood a smoky, slightly sweet woodiness, and musk a soft, lasting finish.

It suits autumn and spring and works for daytime or evening. Anyone who likes smooth, sweet woods with a touch of oud and citrus should find it an easy wear.
