46th Street is a woody amber with a dark, fruity edge, released by Gravel in 2020 and composed by Michael Knudson. It is worn by anyone.

Wild berries and forest fruits open it with a dark, jammy sweetness, set against jasmine, which adds a smooth, slightly heady floral note. The heart is woody and smoky: agarwood gives a dry, resinous oud character, precious woods and woody notes a smooth structure, and birch a tarry, leathery smoke. Incense adds a thin, church-like thread. The base is ambergris, musk and cypriol, warm, salty and earthy, so the finish is long and slightly mysterious.

It suits autumn and winter and evening wear. Anyone who likes dark woods with oud, smoke and a touch of fruit should find it rewarding.
